Our evening invites you on a dreamlike journey through two halves, one Italian and one Iberian, where Italian impressionism meets Spanish impressions. We will marvel at the "repainting" of spring and Venus by the composers, indulge in the intoxicating experience of dance, and spend unforgettable moments in the nighttime gardens of Granada and Córdoba. We'll enjoy a taste of the lively and passionate world of Spanish musical theater, the zarzuela, and finally, we will bid farewell with the joyous dance finale of de Falla's masterpiece, The Three-Cornered Hat.

Krisztina Fejes, who has spent significant time in Spain herself, will provide a truly original interpretation of Night in the Gardens of Spain. The program opens with the bold introduction from one of Giuseppe Verdi’s rarely performed operas, and the concert will be conducted by Venezuelan-Spanish conductor Carlos Riazuelo.
