Ciróka+ Children's Concert ‒ Classical Adventures
The Miskolc Symphony Orchestra's Ciróka Baby Concert has become well-known among families with young children. Designed for babies aged 0-3 years, from infants in arms to toddlers exploring the world, this series has grown into one of Miskolc's most popular cultural family programs. As a continuation of this, and as its sibling program, the Ciróka+ Concert was created for children aged 4-7.
In the interactive performances, families with young children gain insight into classical music in a playful format. Meanwhile, the little ones enrich their basic musical knowledge: they receive an introduction to solmization and the world of symphonic orchestra instruments, among other things. Just like the baby concerts, age-appropriate music educational tools are used by the concert's scriptwriter and host, Dr. Marietta Bukáné Kaskötő, music historian and music educator.
Following in the footsteps of Zoltán Kodály and Klára Kokas, the staff of the Miskolc Symphony Orchestra have created an interactive children's program where young ones can gain exceptional classical music experiences in extraordinary circumstances. Each Ciróka+ event invites children on a new adventure, with performances set in a fairy-tale environment connected to various eras and composers of music history – all in a pleasant, child-friendly atmosphere.
