Delius: Summer Song

Glière: Horn Concerto, Op. 91

Puccini: Capriccio Sinfonico

As winter nears its end, we offer a special musical treat – a dazzling and magnificent work with the French horn, one of the oldest instruments, at its core. To prove that the horn can shine as a solo instrument, we welcome Volkan Kartal, the excellent Turkish horn player, who joins us for this concert from his role with the Antalya State Opera and Ballet Orchestra.

On this evening, we invite our audience on an exciting and surprising journey: our destination is Rome, the Eternal City... The four festivals of Ancient Rome come alive on the stage of the House of Arts: the barbaric festive games, the Christian pilgrimages, the world of Roman castles, and the street festivities.

The conductor for this concert is Lorenzo Castriota Skanderbeg, already well-known to the Miskolc audience, whose name guarantees that these sparkling works will truly shine… Italian style!
